چکیده
Mid-infrared spectroscopy (MIR), near-infrared (NIR), and Raman are all well-established analytical techniques in biomedical applications. Since they provide complementary chemical information, we aimed to determine whether combining them amplifies their strengths mitigates weaknesses. This study investigates the feasibility of fusion MIR, NIR, spectroscopic data for characterising articular cartilage integrity. Osteochondral specimens from bovine patellae were subjected mechanical enzymatic damage, then acquired damaged control specimens. We assessed capacity individual methods classify samples into damage or groups using Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA). Multi-block PLS-DA was carried out assess potential by dataset applying two-block (MIR MIR Raman, NIR Raman) three-block approaches (MIR, Raman). The results one-block models show a higher classification accuracy (93%) (92%) than (76%) spectroscopy. In contrast, observed highest efficiency 94% 93% NIR) models, respectively. detailed correlative analysis spectral features contributing discrimination adds considerably more insight molecular origin damage.

Raman, infrared and near-infrared spectroscopic characterization of the herderite-hydroxylherderite mineral series.
Natural single-crystal specimens of the herderite-hydroxylherderite series from Brazil, with general formula CaBePO4(F,OH), were investigated by electron microprobe, Raman, infrared and near-infrared spectroscopies. The minerals occur as secondary products in granitic pegmatites. Herderite and hydroxylherderite minerals show extensive solid solution formation. The Raman spectra of hydroxylherde...
متن کاملMid-Infrared Spectroscopic Properties of Ultra-Luminous Infrared Quasars
We analyse mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopic properties for 19 ultra-luminous infrared quasars (IR QSOs) in the local universe based on the spectra from the Infrared Spectrograph on board the Spitzer Space Telescope. The MIR properties of IR QSOs are compared with those of optically-selected Palomar-Green QSOs (PG QSOs) and ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs). The average MIR spectral featu...

In this paper I summarize the science motivations, as well as a few mid-infrared spectroscopic methods used to identify the principal mechanisms of energy production in dust enshrouded galactic nuclei. The development of the various techniques is briefly discussed. Emphasis is given to the use of the data which are becoming available with the infrared spectrograph (IRS) on Spitzer, as well as t...
